With some Animal Crossing Amiibo and Amiibo cards going for absurd prices on eBay and other sites, some players don't have the funds to get them for themselves. So some clever players are making their own Amiibo cards.

Animal Crossing-themed Amiibo and Amiibo cards can be used to invite different villagers to an island in the newest game in the series. Getting new villagers or certain villagers is easy with the Amiibo cards, so players are desperate to find their favorite villager cards online. But since they are very expensive to buy, and not many players have them, people have resorted to making them instead.

Since some coveted villagers cards are more expensive than a copy of New Horizons, some players have found a way to get the character file from their phone or Nintendo 3DS to a NTAG215 card to make their own. As Tiktok user Fer demonstrated on her page, players can imprint the character files from the 3DS or Android to a card and use it in the new AC game.

Animal Crossing New Horizons Bob Amiibo Invite

Animal Crossing: New Horizons has such a massive playerbase that new ACNH icons were added with the new Switch Update 10.00. The craze has been massive, probably spurred on by the COVID-19 self-isolation that many are participating in. So it's great that more and more people will have access to these cards that are no longer for sale, and were mostly only available for the Animal Crossing party game for WiiU Amiibo Festival.

On the other hand, always be very careful downloading anything off of the internet; sites will probably crop up trying to prey on people looking for downloadable files with certain villagers. While it might be tempting to boot the ugly villagers from islands and download the better ones, it's better to be safe than sorry.

Whether players choose to spend a lot of money to grab these cards or make their own, there's no indication of Animal Crossing: New Horizons is going anywhere. If the prices of these sweet cards aren't going down anytime soon, players will want to get their orders in for NTAG215 cards before those are sold out as well.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is available for Nintendo Switch and Switch Lite.
