Bells are a common way of paying for items and services in Animal Crossing: New Horizons but not every player is rich, leading some to find alternative methods of paying for the things they want, like using hard-earned Nook Miles Tickets.
In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, players can earn Nook Miles Tickets by purchasing them through the Nook Stop with the use of Nook Miles, which can be earned over time by doing Nook Miles+ tasks.
Nook Miles Tickets are a popular currency for players because completing tasks becomes more difficult and time-consuming as players progress. Earning Miles to purchase tickets quickly becomes challenging, especially when a challenge requires players to perform tasks like catching 500 fish, progressively asking for more as time presses on, but only yielding similar returns. However, the time-consuming nature of earning tickets has players using them as currency for rare items.
For instance, some players have good luck in the Stalk Market, and allow other players to come over for a Nook Miles Ticket fee. Players can earn a ton of tickets utilizing the method, allowing them to hunt for new islands and their favorite villagers. The fee to access an island depends on how good the Stalk Market is there, which can be measured through fan-made methods, also allowing them to buy other items with tickets.
On the fan-made Nookazon website, players can view any item they want and see what players are offering for said item. As an example, the fan-favorite villager Raymond can be purchased for several hundred tickets. This also applies to items that are highly sought after from Gulliver, including the Katana set.
If players have some extra Nook Miles Tickets to spare, using them to pay for items is a good way to build up an island, possibly even to a coveted 5-star rating. Some players are taking advantage of Nook Miles by overcharging for goods and services, though, so analyze the value of what is offered before making any payment, otherwise players may end up wasting some of the precious tickets.
