It is without a doubt that Animal Crossing: New Horizons is one of the most popular games right now, and has been uniting players from all over the world who are stuck in lockdown due to the growing threat of the COVID-19 pandemic. Of course, much of Animal Crossing: New Horizons' appeal lies with its calm and relaxing gameplay, but fans are currently digging the wide assortment of customization options that the game offers.

Several days ago, some fans turned Animal Crossing: New Horizons into a horror game by recreating scenes that are borderline creepy and disturbing. Now, it appears that fans have taken these dark desires to a whole new level by taking inspiration from some of the most iconic horror movies. Twitter user @AdMirabella 33 recreated the iconic dress of the Grady Twins and an Overlook Hotel floor pattern from the popular movie adaptation of Stephen King's The Shining.

However, it appears that players didn't stop with classic horror films, and several fans took inspiration from the 2019 film Midsommar. Apart from recreating the iconic festival outfit from the movie, fans also recreated scenes from the movie such as the Maypole Dance, and the iconic ritual scene that those who have seen the film will surely recognize.

Of course, while a lot of fans are taking advantage of Animal Crossing: New Horizons' many customization options to recreate outfits, objects, and scenes from their favorite movies, there are also those who made outfits and looks based on their favorite celebrities. As of the moment, Twitter and Reddit are full of images showing these custom made outfits, such as one that recreated looks from Taylor Swift and BTS.
