When it comes to furniture, there's a whole myriad of it. Luckily, not every single piece costs the player an arm and a leg. In fact, there are a few items out there that look quite expensive but are in fact surprisingly cheap. Here's a list of the best of those items, for players who really want the most bang for their buck.

10 DJ's Turntable: 9300 Bells

Electronics are hit-and-miss when it comes to pricing. Some items will be understandably expensive, such as a laptop or a desktop computer. However, others, which would normally warrant a higher price, can be bought for just a few thousand bells.

The DJ's turntable is a great example of this. It's pretty bulky as an item and it's an electronic and musical device, yet its price is only 9300 bells, making it a great addition to anyone's home.

9 Long Bathtub: 7800 Bells

Having the perfect house is so important, and the more there are items from the same collection, the better. However, some bathroom items can get a bit expensive, especially the shower booths and the larger tubs.

But the long bathtub looks pretty nice and is sold for a reasonable amount of bells. At 7800 it's a steal and great for any bathrooms that aspires for perfection.

8 Fireplace: 5900 Bells

There are some rather extraordinary items in the game that really add that cozy touch to a home. While many quality and luxury items need to be saved up for, some of these special furniture pieces are surprisingly cheap.

The fireplace, for instance, not only looks great but has a cool animated fire inside of it. Moreover, it can support two decoration objects on top, doubling as a table of sorts. All this for just 5900 is too good to be true.

7 Refrigerator: 5100 Bells

Similarly to the bathroom items, many of the kitchen items tend to be extremely expensive, especially the big open kitchen island and system kitchen furniture pieces. As such, the best way to make a kitchen is to just buy everything separately.

Luckily, the basic refrigerator is insanely cheap. Those lucky to have it in their shop will only have to pay up 5100 bells for it, and it looks awesome in just about any type of kitchen.

6 Automatic Washer: 4500 Bells

There's one item in the game that comes in two kinds, and depending on which the player goes for, they'll have to pay a very different price. A washing machine is a staple for any home that has a bathroom or a laundry room.

The deluxe washer is actually one of the most expensive items in the game, despite a very cheap appearance. It's priced at 76, 000 bells, while its prettier counterpart, the automatic washer, is only 4500 bells. Get it while it's in the shop, because it's a steal.

5 Kotatsu: 3700 Bells

Players wanting to go for a Japanese-style home will soon notice that many of the quintessential themed furniture pieces are quite expensive. The kimonos and screens can be quite an investment in the long run.

However, the Japanese kotatsu table is actually very fairly priced. This low dinner table with a blanket and a heater underneath is only 3700 despite technically being an electronic device.

4 Safe: 3600 Bells

Those who are familiar with the aluminum briefcase or have at least heard of its legend will no doubt expect the safe in the game to have a similar type of logic behind it. In the case of the briefcase, it's a pretty simple item, but because it has something inside, its price is higher.

However, the opposite is true for the safe. It only costs 3600 bells, which is a price that could be easily put on the aluminum briefcase as well. The only real difference between them is the size of the object.

3 Gas Range: 3500 Bells

Yes, kitchen furniture tends to be fairly expensive, especially when it comes to bigger combination items that have both counter space and some kitchen appliances attached to them.

The gas range, however, is surprisingly cheap. It's only 3500 bells and it's a must-have for just about any starter house. For such a cheap item, it looks cleaner and more minimalist than what its price suggests.

2 Alto Saxophone: 3400 Bells

There are a handful of items musical instruments in the game that have quite a steep price tag.. The electric guitar and the piano in particular are extremely guilty of this. In fact, the violin will put a big dent in anyone's wallet.

However, items like the alto saxophone don't actually follow this general rule of thumb. Based on the price of other instruments, one would expect that this would cost an arm and a leg, but it's a measly 3400 bells.

1 Clay Furnace: 3300 Bells

Falling into the same category as the kitchen set items and the furnace, this clay furnace would have anyone thinking it's an expensive piece at first sight. It's a cool addition for any traditionally themed houses, but luckily, it's very affordable.

At only 3300 bells, it's easily the cheapest item on the list. Considering its size as well, it's a miracle there's something like it in the game. Get it from the shop the second it pops up.
