Animal Crossing: New Horizons' 2.0 update added a lot of new content for players to check out, including the return of Gyroids. Gyroids were introduced in the first Animal Crossing game, but they did not make their way into New Horizons. These items can be used to decorate a home or create some neat tunes since each has a distinct noise. Gyroids can even be customized to fit the theme of a house, allowing for lots of creativity.

By using this guide, players will learn how to get Gyroids and what to do with Gyroid Fragments in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

How to Get Gyroids in Animal Crossing New Horizons

In order to get Gyroids, Animal Crossing: New Horizons players can travel to one of the Kapp'n Islands, which players can get to by boat. Gyroid Fragments can be found buried in the ground with a star marking, the same icon for potential fossils and other items. Players will need a shovel to take it out of the ground, and once a Fragment is found, it'll need to be buried. Gyroid Fragments can also be found on the player's island.

How Long Do Gyroids Take to Grow in ACNH

Once players bury the Fragment on their island and water it, they can return the following day and find a fully grown Gyroid that can be used as a decorative item. While there are many different Gyroids for players to collect, only one Fragment can be found on the island per day, so it might take some time before players get them all. It's also worth noting that there's more of a chance for Gyroids to appear on Kapp'ns islands after it rains. Kapp'n will charge the player 1000 Nook Miles for a round-trip ride to an island.

The addition of Gyroids to Animal Crossing: New Horizons is only a small part of the massive 2.0 update. Players will no doubt spend dozens of hours trying everything out and seeing what's been added. Players can also look forward to the paid Happy Home Paradise DLC that allows fans to decorate dream homes for some of the villagers.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is available exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
