Amidst the international pandemic that is the coronavirus outbreak and the numerous areas around the world under stay at home orders or lockdowns, more and more people have had time to play video games. In no circle is this more apparent than in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, as players have been producing a seemingly boundless flow of creativity.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons gives fans near limitless customization options, allowing them to design articles of clothing, wallpaper, furniture, and more, something which its players are putting to good use. The most recent development in impressive Animal Crossing recreations comes from Twitter user Weary Bones and their adaptation of Disney's Haunted Mansion attraction.

Disney's Haunted Mansion has long been one of its most beloved attractions, and the attention to detail which was put into the ride by Imagineers is far more tangible than the happy haunts that inhabit it. It would seem that Weary Bones took this to heart, as their incarnation of the famed attraction is similarly detailed.

The video above shows off the Haunted Mansion build, and begins with an eerie graveyard walk through a winding queue before the character enters the mansion. What follows is a wonderful montage of different areas in Disney's Haunted Mansion recreated in Animal Crossing and set to no other music than Grim Grinning Ghosts. Notable locations can all be seen, such as Madam Leota's room, the large dining hall, and more. The video ends with Weary Bones' poor Animal Crossing villager running in terror from the mansion past what appears to be stalls representing Disney's concessions.

Other details are prevalent, such as the custom wallpaper made in the game that mimics the infamous Haunted Mansion wallpaper at Disney, or the ghostly figure of Constance Hatchaway, the Axe Bride, in one of the rooms standing next to an actual Animal Crossing hatchet. There's no doubt that this project must have taken quite some time and a lot of dedication, and the comments are all overwhelmingly positive in support of this.

Some even take to the keyboard to share their own designs, such as cast member themed outfits or designs for the stretching portraits. Others show images of other Disney themed things they're working on, like an Alice in Wonderland themed island. For those players interested in using the wallpaper design, Weary Bones shared the QR code several times in the comments.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is available now exclusively for Nintendo Switch.
