In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, new months bring changes to the flora and fauna on everyone's islands. Whether that island is getting ready for winter in the Southern Hemisphere or summertime in the Northern, players can look forward to new bugs to catch with a gold net.

Bugs in June

There are several bugs leaving Animal Crossing as the calendar moves from May to June for both the Northern and Southern hemisphere folks. For Northern hemisphere islands, players will have access to 48 total summer bugs with six of those being brand new to June. Eight of those bugs will no longer be available after June is over. In the Southern hemisphere, winter bugs have come out to play. They will have 20 total winter bugs, three of which are brand new. None of the winter bugs change between June and July in the Southern hemisphere.
