There's been plenty of news regarding Nintendo and Kingdom Hearts in the last month. This includes the back-to-back announcements of Sora being Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's last DLC character, the aforementioned series coming to the Nintendo Switch via Cloud, and an Animal Crossing: New Horizons-focused Nintendo Direct.

The Animal Crossing Direct, in particular, was focused on showing off a batch of new DLC and updates that will be arriving to New Horizons. All of these announcements were met with much excitement from fans, with many sides of the fandom celebrating. One fan of all three of these franchises decided to show their love in the form of building a loving tribute to Kingdom Hearts in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

Animal Crossing is no stranger to incredible tribute islands. A few months ago, one fan turned their island into a scene straight out of Resident Evil Village. Fans are able to make these homages thanks to many of New Horizons furniture, clothing options, and custom patterns. This allows for fans to be as creative as they can be, allowing them to create islands like this.

This island was created by created by @namico_x on Twitter, which showed off some photos of the island. These photos are of the newest area added to their island, heavily based on Hollow Bastion, one of the central worlds of the original Kingdom Hearts. This can be seen with the many custom designs that show off the elements that are present in the castle, with the regal heart motif being on the floor tiles and giant castle.

The tweet itself congratulates Sora for joining the roster of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, with photos of Villagers dressed as Sora, Cloud, and Sephiroth also being present on the Hollow Bastion island set piece. These three are involved in some of the most iconic parts of the first two Kingdom Hearts games, encapsulate the Final Fantasy influence in those games, and are all playable in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate to boot.

The last photo shows off where Hollow Bastion is located on this fan's Animal Crossing: New Horizons island. It includes other places that pay tribute to worlds such as Twilight Town, Destiny Islands, and even some of the Disney-inspired locations such as Agrabah, Atlantica, and Halloween Town. The fan was generous enough to provide the dream code, so fellow fans are able to visit and take in the magical experience. Based on the many tweets responding to this, many fans were very impressed and loved the Kingdom Hearts tribute.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is available now for the Nintendo Switch.
