There is currently a total of 413 villagers available to meet and lure to the island in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and that number excludes special characters. The game features a crowd of returning villagers from previous games as well as an array of new characters for players to befriend. One Animal Crossing: New Horizons fan recently celebrated some of their favorite villagers by creating custom Valentine's Day cards based on four beloved characters.

Reddit user WashiiJoshii designed and shared four distinct Valentine's Day cards inspired by characters from Animal Crossing: New Horizons. This isn't the first time an Animal Crossing fan has created a tribute to specific characters, but it may be one of the most adorable.

WashiiJoshii's cards take inspiration from Animal Crossing mascot Tom Nook, snooty cub villager Judy, event character Pave, and peppy duck villager Ketchup. While Tom Nook has been in Animal Crossing from the very beginning and plays one of the most important roles in the games, the other three are more recent additions to the series. However, their strong personalities and striking visual designs have led them to become some of the series' most memorable recurring characters. WashiiJoshii's cards help to highlight what makes each character special while also being funny and charming.

The first card features Tom Nook's face with hearts in his eyes and a border of hearts and bells, with text reading "Bells are sweet but you're the real treasure." Given Tom Nook's greedy personality, this is an incredible expression of love. The second card features the head of a starry-eyed Judy surrounded by a border of pink and blue hearts and stars, with text reading "I like you beary much." This pun fits her well, as Judy is both a rather affectionate character and a literal baby bear.

Pave the peacock takes center stage in the third card, poking his feathered head through a frame of hearts and confetti with accompanying text reading "I'm your biggest fan!" Finally, the fourth card showcases Ketchup with two smaller hearts in her eyes and surrounded by a border of green and red hearts and tomatoes. The text accompanying her reads "I love you from my head to-ma-toes," which is quite fitting for a character whose entire visual presentation has been modeled after tomatoes. As of writing, it appears that these cards have been warmly received by other fans. Several users expressed interest in buying PDFs or print copies of these cards.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is available now for Nintendo Switch.
