The first Spider-Man trilogy released over 2 decades ago and directed by Sam Raimi, revitalized the supehero genre and set a new standard for future supehero movies. Andrew Garfield was the actor recast as Spider-Man after Tobey Maguire's rendition as Spider-Man concluded in 2007. The Amazing Spider-Man movies didn't receive the same love as the previous trilogy, but the portrayal of Andrew's Spider-Man was still almost perfect. Many consider Andrew Garfield the most underrated Spider-Man, as he captured the teenage superhero's dual life perfectly.

One of the main reasons why Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man was so good is because of his suit, which perfectly caught the comic essence while adding a realistic touch to it at the same time.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Had The Most Comic Accurate Suit

Spider-Man in The Amazing Spider-Man 2

Sony's Amazing Spider-Man followed Andrew in his first year as Spider-Man, chronicling his journey from gaining his newfound powers to mastering the superhero responsibilities. After the heartbreaking loss of his uncle Ben, Peter decided to harness his abilities for the greater good and embraced the identity of the friendly neighborhood superhero Spider-Man.

Andrew Garfield's portrayal of Peter Parker may also be the closest thing we get to a comic-accurate rendition, as the actor closely resembles the character in all aspects, including height, hair color, etc.

Andrew's Spider-Man started with a simple mask covering his face, some boots, and some street clothes but eventually perfected the suit to make the perfect Spider-Man which looked quite reminiscent of Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man but featured numerous additions and upgrades. The suit appeared to be textured with visible stitch marks, which was understandable considering it was Peter's first Spider-Man suit. Additionally, the eyes on the suit appeared to be of a mechanical style.

However, Peter completely revamped his Spider-Man suit in Amazing Spider-Man 2, now having a more modern superhero appearance. The suit's mask was changed entirely, featuring large bug-like eyes, which made the superhero look friendly. Additionally, the style of the webbing on the suit was changed, with it now being more noticeable. However, the main difference was that this newer suit had a more vibrant red and blue color that was sure to make it stand out. Amazing Spider-Man 2 improved upon the already perfect Spider-Man suit, which was undoubtedly one of the movie's best parts. One of the main reasons the suit is considered the best is because it's regarded as the most comic-accurate suit, quite reminiscent of the Ultimate Spider-Man comics.

Even in his recent appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home, Andrew Garfield put on the same suit from Amazing Spider-Man 2, years later.

Andrew Garfield Himself Believes His Spider-Man Suit Was The Best

Andrew Garfield Spider-Man No Way Home Lying

The recent Spider-Man: No Way Home served as a fan service and brought back Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield's Spider-Men. The film has become a fan favorite among enthusiasts of all live-action iterations. In a bonus interview from The Spider-Man: No Way Home - Art of the Movie, a book that contains artwork, and interviews from the Spider-Man: No Way Home movie, Andrew Garfield revealed that he thinks that his Spider-Man suit is the most superior out of all live-action Spider-Man suits which was a bold claim.

According to the actor himself, his Spider-Man suit has wider eyes which add to the friendly look of the character. His suit also contains zippers, a feature so beneficial for the actor as it makes it easier for him to get in and out of the suit than other actors. Even MCU's Spider-Man, Tom Holland, admitted to being jealous of Andrew Garfield's suit containing zippers which made him so easy to get in and out.

That said, this doesn't imply that the other Spider-Man suit was terrible; they each stand out in their regard, with Tobey's Spider-Man setting a base for live-action suits. Tom's Spider-Man took a more futuristic approach, with his suit being designed closely to the Iron Man suit considering Tony Stark created them.

The Amazing Spider-Man movies have gathered a cult following recently thanks to Andrew Garfield's recent appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home, which inclined many fans to revisit the older Amazing Spider-Man movies. Many claim that the Amazing Spider-Man films have aged well and initially received more hate than they should have. Andrew Garfield's story as Spider-Man was left halfway, and a third Amazing Spider-Man entry could provide closure to his story. Even the current actor for Spider-Man, Tom Holland, has shown support for Andrew Garfield returning as Spider-Man.

DC has already shown that multiple versions of a superhero can co-exist with two live-action versions of Batman from DCEU and DC Elseworlds stories on the screens. With the multiverse door now open, Spider-Men co-existing together shouldn't be surprising. Considering how much praise and appreciation the Amazing Spider-Man films have received recently, it wouldn't be a surprise if Andrew Garfield reprises his role as Spider-Man again, whether it's another Amazing Spider-Man movie or in another multiversal appearance in the MCU, which is rumored to be in the upcoming Avengers: Secret Wars.
