Stalker scares are nothing new for the popular Twitch streamer Amouranth, with the latest coming over TwitchCon weekend where allegedly multiple stalkers were in attendance. It is the latest in a series of stories coming out about the event from creators, staff, and attendees alike speaking about the various problems at the event which, whether it was TwitchCon staff facing verbal abuse from attendees to some leaving the event with injuries. While Amouranth was able to get through the convention safely thanks to security, it is the latest in a year when she has already been the target of high-profile stalkers.

Amouranth spoke about the five alleged stalkers she encountered during one of her Twitch streams which followed her around during the three-day convention. The first came to her attention thanks to her cameraman, Mars, who informed Amouranth a stalker had "pulled up" to the event to find her while she was at her hotel. Amouranth said her "24 hour security" stepped in to deal with the stalker while she remained in her room for her own personal safety.

It wasn't long after, though, a second encounter took place with at least "three other guys" who she said started following her and another streamer while walking to TwitchCon from their hotel. Amouranth said event security began following the three men, though it was not clear if the three were not allowed into TwitchCon as a result.

The last known encounter took place on stream as Amouranth appeared to be leaving TwitchCon for the day. She was joined by Mars, who was streaming the pair on their way back to the hotel, when they were approached by a man at a crosswalk who can be heard saying "long time no see." The pair immediately walk the opposite direction as Amouranth notes out loud it was another stalker in attendance at the event.

It added to the chaotic weekend which was reportedly rife with issues for nearly all in attendance, from the creators to the general event staff. As mentioned above, the event left several in attendance physical hurt due to a foam jousting pit set up by Intel and Lenovo for creators and attendees. One of the more series injuries was suffered by streamer and adult film star Adriana Chechik, who suffered two broken bones in her back requiring surgery and metal rods for recovery.

While Amouranth was able to make it through the weekend safely, it is a reminder of the threats female streamers face on a fairly regularly basis. Amouranth has spoken at length about a high-profile scare earlier in 2022 involving a stalker from Estonia who was in her area for nearly two months. He was eventually arrested after showing up at her home in late June.

Pokimane has openly shared her experiences with stalkers, as well, telling YouTuber Anthony Padilla about how one stalker found the house she was sharing at the time with other streamers. It highlights the lengths some of these individuals will go to in their obsessions with creators and the ongoing threat it poses to them.
