As the very strange year of 2020 is wrapping up, streaming services and media companies are providing fans with yearly stats. Spotify has gotten a ton of attention for its annual Spotify Wrapped, which provides yearly listening stats based on time listened, artists, albums, and genres. The stats are compiled in a short slideshow and easily shared on social media, which has inspired many other companies to give users breakdowns of their usage this year. Popular social deduction game Among Us is the latest title to share some interesting player stats.

Recently, Among Us players started sharing their breakdown of stats like number of bodies reported, tasks completed, imposter kills, and much more. Now, the official Among Us Twitter has shared the percentage of imposter wins compared to the Crewmate wins and the stats may surprise players.

According to Among Us developers, imposters win 57.69% of the time, while crewmates win 42.31% of the time. The statistics are taken from the total amount of games played on Among Us and includes every map. Imposters winning more often than crewmates may be surprising because imposters are usually grossly outnumbered by crewmates. However, the point of the game is deception and stealth, so it may point to players performing better at deception than scoping out murderers. Along with the stats, the Among Us account gives a simple analysis of the data, writing, "you're all too good at murder and lying is the lesson we have learned."

Among Us has gained a massive amount of popularity recently, and developers have plans for continued support of the title. Among Us is even slated to have a special announcement and will reveal a new map at the 2020 Game Awards on December 10th. Based on the win rate of imposters, developers may make imposter roles even more difficult.

The popularity of Among Us has also boosted the popularity of a number of streamers as well. Because Among Us is such a social game, many enjoy watching their favorite streamers interact with friends and other streamers in the simple, yet hilarious and entertaining gameplay. Streamers like Corpse Husband, who is primarily known for horror videos and his music, has experienced a massive subscription spree on YouTube for his Among Us gameplay.

Other prominent figures like United States Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has broken Twitch records for her Among Us gameplay and has even participated in an Among Us stream for charity that raised over $200,000. As Among Us continues to gain popularity, many fans are enjoying watching Among Us streams and apparently mastering the art of deception as an imposter based on the win rate stats.

Among Us is out now for PC and mobile devices.
