Corpse Husband is not new to YouTube, as he started his channel in 2015. His shtick is narrating scary stories, and with his uniquely deep voice he found a strong following. However, it was his Among Us content that helped turn him into a breakout star in 2020, and he now has five million subscribers to prove it.
Just a few months ago, at the beginning of September, Corpse Husband had just 1.3 million subscribers, meaning he gained nearly four million in less than three months. His followers have seemingly always loved his knack for storytelling and iconic voice, but with Among Us Corpse Husband has been able to play with AOC, Pewdiepew, and more.
One of the other intriguing things about the YouTuber is he has never revealed his face. His deep voice adds to a certain mystery, which is perhaps part of why people gravitate to him. Having over a million subscribers based on home-made content alone is impressive, but jumping onto the moving train of success that is Among Us, a nominee at this year's Game Awards, has multiplied his numbers by almost 400 percent.
Corpse Husband's Among Us videos on YouTube have performed well, with one reaching 21 million views. His videos on the game average almost 15 million views, but Corpse Husband - who revealed his 5 million subscriber count on Twitter - has shared that he fears losing out on all this hard work if he simply doesn't post anything for a few days. That's not surprising for someone who has soared to fame at such a quick rate alongside Among Us, which will get a major new announcement at the Game Awards.
