Amnesia: Rebirth is the third installment in the Amnesia series. This survival/psychological horror game is filled to the brim with demanding puzzles for most of Amnesia Rebirth's 10-hour playtime. One of the more difficult puzzles involves getting to the radio inside the fortress.

Tasi has just gone through an incredibly spooky cave, and she comes out of it to face an equally scary fortress. It's filled with dead bodies and horrifying monsters. But it also has some hope for our terrified heroine: a radio that allows Tasi to connect to help. But this Amnesia: Rebirth puzzle requires several steps to complete.

The Radio

Upon entering the fortress, Tasi hears a voice. It's a radio, attempting to connect to survivors in the fortress. The doctor's voice is a welcome sound, but Tasi will have to get to the radio first to be able to talk back to him. Unfortunately, the way is blocked, and she'll have to find a way around. The fortress is dark and spooky, so make sure to turn down the lights for some Amnesia-style scares just in time for Halloween.

Puzzle 1: The Lift

Starting facing the blocked room with the radio, head to the left and find an unlocked door. Head inside, then go down the hallway. Turn at the first right, making sure to light lanterns along the way to keep Tasi's fear meter down. A storage room will come up on the right. There will be a barrel visible if Tasi has a match lit, and there will be an automatic crossbow that activates when she walks into the room. It will startle her, beginning the tension build up that makes Amnesia's psychological-thriller game so different from others. But once the weapon is tripped, Tasi can grab the winch mechanism off of it.

Puzzle to get the radio in Amnseia Rebirth

After getting the winch, backtrack down the same hallway as before. Keep going straight until Tasi sees a harvester. Make sure to keep lighting candles along the way if possible; Tasi's fear meter will spike after catching a glimpse of the monster, which is a horrifying addition to this Amnesia spookfest. Keep going down that hallway towards where she saw the monster, then turn right. Pass by the stairs and keep walking. There will be a broken elevator at the end of the hall. Place the winch inside the wooden box there.

While there is no hard and easy mode in Amnesia: Rebirth, players can turn on on-screen hints, which will be helpful for th puzzle. There is no floor left in the lift, so if Tasi tries to turn the winch now, it won't work. She'll need to rig a floor to stand on first. To the right of the elevator, there is a wooden plank, a little taller than Tasi. Grab it and lay it down on the floor of the elevator, making sure it's stable. Turn the crank (the hints will help here) and head up to the second floor.

Puzzle 2: The Weakened Floor

In this second puzzle, Tasi finds a cracked floor right above the room with the radio. She'll have to find something heavy to break the floor. A cannon is there, but it is missing two wheels. How fast players solve this puzzle won't change which Amnesia: Rebirth ending they get, but it will save a lot of matches and Tasi's health to do this quickly.

Head left from the lift, then wait for a moment for the harvester to pass before proceeding, lighting the lamps. At the pillar, turn right and look for a cannon. There will be a wheel nearby to the left of the cannon; pick it up and put it on the cannon.

Next, turn around and head back towards the pillar. Walk straight until Tasi runs into a wall, then look for the doorway. There are many dead bodies in this room, spiking Tasi's fear, so step past them quickly, grab the second wheel in the back right corner, and get out as soon as possible. Once the second wheel is on, Tasi can push the cannon through the floor. Now Tasi can get the radio and perhaps safety.

Amnesia: Rebirth may have been created a whole ten years after the original Amnesia, but Frictional Games hasn't lost the touch of making incredibly difficult puzzles for players while they are scared.
