Amnesia: The Bunker from Frictional Games releases a pair of new gameplay clips that show the creative ways players will be able to get through doors in the upcoming survival-horror game. Frictional has firmly established itself as one of the premiere horror game developers in the industry, putting out one critically-acclaimed horror game after another. Frictional's legacy speaks for itself, and it's why many horror fans are excited for Amnesia: The Bunker.

Frictional surprised fans with the announcement for Amnesia: The Bunker, unveiling the game with a creepy trailer that helped establish its setting, showed how it would retain the key elements of Amnesia games, and also highlighted how it will be moving the franchise in a somewhat different direction. For instance, Amnesia: The Bunker will let players fight back against the monsters, whereas previous Amnesia games made players virtually defenseless.

Letting players fight back is going to be a key change for sure, but fans can otherwise expect familiar Amnesia gameplay. Amnesia's physics-based puzzles will be on full display in Amnesia: The Bunker, as highlighted by some recent gameplay clips that show different ways players can get through doors in the game. The first Amnesia gameplay clip showed players shooting a lock to get through a door, but a more recent one shows them putting an explosive barrel to use. In the clip, the protagonist drags an explosive barrel in front of a door, gets some distance, and then throws a flare to start a fire and presumably break down the door.

In another clip, Amnesia: The Bunker shows more ways players can get through doors in the game. This includes simply sliding back a lock, and in the case of a flimsy wooden door, throwing a big brick at it until it breaks into pieces. Players can also throw grenades at doors to break them down, or shoot the previously mentioned explosive barrels to blow them up. Presumably, there will be less noisy methods for players to get around Amnesia: The Bunker's titular creepy bunker, but players will have to check the game out for themselves to see what else it has in store.

Amnesia: The Bunker currently lacks a specific release date, but it is going to launch at some point in March. Amnesia: The Bunker will be a day one Xbox Game Pass game whenever it does launch, so it should be relatively cheap for any intrigued horror game fans to check it out for themselves.

Amnesia: The Bunker launches March 2023 for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
