AMD Ryzen 5 7500F is now available as a standalone CPU in the US and Europe. The processor was originally launched in China last month and the company had said it would offer the processor to the global market through system integrators. However, that does not seem to be the case anymore, with the Ryzen 5 7500F coming in as the cheapest offering in the latest Ryzen series of processors. Notably, retailers do not have the processor in stock, which means customers will have to wait a bit before they get their hands on it.

Early last month, alleged leaked benchmarks for the Ryzen 5 7500F surfaced online and painted a positive picture for the upcoming chip. Geekbench benchmark results showed the processor delivers comparable performance to the Ryzen 5 7600X. The Ryzen 5 7500F is the first Zen 4 CPU that comes without integrated RDNA 2 graphics and sports a lower clock speed and TDP than the more expensive 7600X. Later in the month, the processor was launched in China and the company said it would be available in global markets soon.

Gamers interested in upgrading to a newer CPU from Team Red will find the AMD Ryzen 5 7600X to be of spectacular value thanks to its high single-core performance, efficient hexacore architecture, and compatibility with newer technology such as PCI-E 5.0 and DDR5 memory. It also abandons AMD's AM4 design, going for a pin-less processor offering by moving them to the motherboard instead.

The Ryzen 5 7500F has now been listed on Shopblt.com for $176.46 and $181.83. The processor is currently “ordered as needed”, meaning customers will have to wait an estimated 15 days for it to ship. As of now, Shopblt is the only retailer with a live listing of the 7500F, but it should show up on Amazon, Newegg, and other retailers soon. The price for the processor at launch was $179, which falls in line with the pricing on Shopblt.

In Europe, the availability of the AMD CPU is much better. It is in stock in Germany and Austria via Mindfactory and Future-X. The listed price is EUR 202 which comes out to around $220 US.

This makes the Ryzen 5 7500F the cheapest offering in the latest Zen 4 Ryzen CPU lineup. It is also the first, and for now, the only processor in the lineup to not have integrated RDNA 2 graphics. It boasts of a 6-core, 12-thread configuration, a base clock speed of 3.7GHz, a boost clock speed of 5GHz, and 32MB of L3 cache. It has a default TDP of 65W. Next in line is the Ryzen 5 7600 which has the same specifications as the 7500F, but with a 100MHz higher base and boost clock. The 7600 also costs more, starting at $225.

The Ryzen 5 7600 is the entry-level, yet very capable, gaming CPU from AMD that features 6 cores, 12 threads, and 32MB of L3 cache. It has a base clock speed of 3.8GHz and a boost clock speed of 5.1GHz. The Ryzen 5 7600 is an unlocked processor with a default TDP of 65W. It also has integrated RDNA 2 graphics and is the cheapest offering in the lineup with an iGPU.

AMD had originally decided not to sell the Ryzen 5 7500F as a standalone CPU in the global market, but has since changed its mind. It could do the same with the Radeon RX 7900 GRE (Golden Rabbit Edition) graphics card, which has launched in China as a standalone card and everywhere else through system integrators.
