Though just how long it will take for movie and TV production to get back up to speed is anyone's guess, networks and streaming services continue to shop for new projects. Chris Pratt, star of blockbuster franchises, including Guardians of the Galaxy, is set to star in a new drama snapped up by Amazon.

The likable star obtained the rights to Jack Carr's book The Terminal List and has been shopping the series around. He has recruited director Antoine Fuqua to team up with him on the project about a Navy SEAL who returns home and uncovers a twisted web of lies and deception.

The series will stream on Amazon, the everywhere and everything company that is soon to enter the gaming world with the battle royale-styled Crucible launching in the near future. The details on The Terminal List are sparse at this time, besides what the story is about. Pratt will play James Reece, a Navy SEAL whose entire platoon is ambushed during a covert mission. He returns home from combat but learns that dark forces were behind the ambush and he is still in grave danger.

It has been reported that the series will consult veterans and their families to lend authenticity to the project, with several writers on the project being veterans themselves. The series could have some legs as The Terminal List is the first in a series from author Carr.

While Chris Pratt is getting challenged to a dance-off during quarantine by Kevin Bacon, it seems the leading A-lister will have some work lined up when things begin to return to normal.

The Terminal List will stream on Amazon Prime sometime in the future.
