Amazon Prime Gaming's July free games have been confirmed, along with new in-game content for some pretty famous titles. Every month Amazon Prime Gaming brings a different selection of free games to Amazon Prime subscribers. In July, specifically, this selection is further improved because of a special date.

Amazon holds Prime Day in July, the annual celebration introduced in 2015 to celebrate Amazon's 20th anniversary. To warm up for 2023's Prime Day, Amazon gave four bonus games to Prime subscribers. Players can claim Arkane Studios' Prey, along with Baldur's Gate 2: Enhanced Edition, Shovel Knight: Showdown, and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed in the first days of July.

Besides those games, Amazon Prime subscribers can also claim Cook, Serve, Delicious 3, NAIRI: Tower of Shirin, Wytchwood, and Lunar Axe in July 2023. Cook, Serve, Delicious 3, an immersive cooking sim where players serve food in war-torn America aboard a food truck, will be available starting July 6. On July 13 it's time for NAIRI: Tower of Shirin, a lovely-looking point-and-click where the brave Nairi ventures to uncover a mysterious conspiracy. Wytchwood, meanwhile, is a crafting game set in a gothic fable land and will be available to claim on July 20. And on July 27, Amazon Prime subscribers can claim the point-and-click Lunar Axe.

In addition to July's free games, Amazon has announced a new selection of in-game content for Amazon Prime subscribers. A +5 Tier Skip for Overwatch 2 is available, accelerating players' progress in getting Tracer's new mythic skin. Also available is the Track Rivals Bundle with items for players of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Call of Duty: Warzone. Starting July 6, Diablo 4 players can claim the Brackish Fetch Mount Bundle with three cosmetic items. On July 10, Pokemon GO players can access a Prime Gaming-exclusive Timed Research with special rewards, including a Pokemon GO Fest T-shirt for their avatar.

Because it is Prime Day month, Amazon Prime subscribers should keep an eye out for possible surprise announcements. In addition to the usual perks released to consumers, Prime Gaming gave away more than 30 games last July, including classics like Metal Slug 2 and Samurai Shodown 2, along with known indie titles like Hue, and Manual Samuel.
