During the investigation at Derceto Manor in Alone in the Dark, you soon discover that there are memories that you will need to search to try and find Jeremy. The trouble is that this requires very specific codes that need to be entered into the talisman to enter these mysterious places.

In order to get these codes, you will have to solve some of the more complex puzzles in the game. The Clock puzzle is an example of this, and by solving it you will be able to investigate the Hateful Mound.

Where to Find the Astronomical Clock

The Astronomical Clock can be found in the Gallery, which is located on the second floor. It will be next to the creepy statues. When you examine the clock, it will open, and you will see a plate that is missing two pieces. In order to solve this puzzle, you must track down the two missing pieces.

Where to Find the Plate Pieces

The first Broken Plate can be found in Perosi's Room. In order to get this piece, you must grab Room Key #6 from the Clerk's Office. Once you are in this room, you must solve the puzzle in Perosi's Room. Once you've entered the correct code, you will be able to claim the first Broken Plate piece.

The second piece takes a little more effort to acquire. First, you have to unlock the Library. In the same room with the Shotgun, black water will begin to fill the room once you try to leave. Grab the Bolt Cutter in the corner of the room and use it on the lock. Go to the Kitchen Garden and use the Bolt Cutter to open the locked shack.

Grab the water hose inside here and then head to the corner where there is a hole in the ground. Attach the hose to the garden hose. From there, follow the garden hose back to where the faucet is. Turn the faucet and head back to the hole. You will be able to reach the bucket that contains the second Broken Plate piece.

How to Solve the Astronomical Clock Puzzle

Once you have both pieces, go back to the Astronomical Clock and insert the two pieces that are missing. From there you will need to rearrange the pieces based on the picture in the Commonplace Book that you found while unlocking the puzzle box. In order to solve this puzzle, arrange the pieces like in the image above. Once you've done that, the clock will stop and give you the code you need to enter another memory. The code is 643.
