Dragon's Dogma 2 has two collectibles you can find in every corner of the world: Seeker Tokens and Golden Trove Beetles. Seeker Tokens get more attention thanks to the reward list and the huge number you can find, but collecting every Beetle also has its benefits.

So far as players have been able to discover, Dragon's Dogma 2 contains 82 unique Golden Trove Beetles. Each one increases your Arisen and your Main Pawn's carry capacity by 0.15 kg. That's not a lot of weight on its own, but if you find them all, you'll be able to carry a lot more treasure, materials, and equipment and move fast while you're doing it.

Players should seek out the following armor if they're looking to increase their resistance to fire in Dragon's Dogma 2.

Golden Trove Beetle Basics

Dragons Dogma 2 Golden Trove Beetle Battahl
  • 82 Beetles means you can boost your carry capacity by 12.3 kg if you collect them all. That's a significant amount, even if you already have plenty after leveling up as a Fighter or a Warrior.
  • Golden Trove Beetles only appear outdoors and in the wild. You won't find any in caves, in houses, or in busy cities like Vernworth or Bakbattahl.
  • You can find most Golden Trove Beetles on the sides of trees. However, they can also appear on the ground or on rocks.
  • Golden Trove Beetles glow, and they're about as bright as a torch. You can't see this glow during the day, but it makes them much easier to spot at night. Seeker Tokens also glow, but Beetles are brighter.
  • A few Golden Trove Beetles are in the inventories of wandering merchants. You can buy them for 5,000 gold each. Unlike most inventory items, the merchants will never restock Beetles no matter how long you wait.
  • Unlike Seeker Tokens, pawns will sometimes pick up Golden Trove Beetles when they spot them, and if they have the right inclination. If you can't find a Beetle on this list and don't remember picking it up, your pawn may have grabbed it. Be sure to check their inventory and your storage, because summoned pawns have their inventories dropped into storage when they leave.
  • The forgery version of the Golden Trove Beetle is the Golden Stove Beetle. Needless to say, the Stove Beetle won't boost your carry capacity.

Other Golden Trove Beetle Locations

dragons dogma 2 gift silver daphne quest

Along with the Golden Trove Beetles you find in the wild, there are three more you can collect by speaking to the right people.

  • The wandering merchant Folkes has one. His path takes him from Checkpoint Rest Town to the Ancient Battleground.
  • The wandering merchant Mubarak sells one. He tends to travel across northern Battahl.
  • Your reward for completing "The Gift of Giving" includes a Golden Trove Beetle.

If you can't find a wandering merchant, you may want to check the morgue in Vernworth or Bakbattahl. You might find them there, and if you do, you can restore them to life with a Wakestone. Wandering the wilderness is dangerous thanks to all the monsters about.
