Back in July of 2019, controversial Twitch streamer Alinity was seen throwing her cat on stream while playing a game of Apex Legends. This incident sparked outrage, with fans creating a petition to ban Alinity from Twitch and prompting an investigation from the Saskatoon Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA). Ultimately, the SPCA determined that there was no malicious intent and that Alinity had "expressed genuine remorse for her actions."

Despite this investigation clearing her of purposeful wrongdoing, there are many still who bring up the Alinity cat-throwing incident. As a result, it's no surprise that many online are calling the latest viral Alinity clip an example of her cat getting "revenge," as it bites her arm during a Twitch stream. In the clip, Alinity is singing along with Aerosmith's "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing" when her cat Maya suddenly bites her arm.

Alinity stopped singing after being bit by her cat Maya, but continued with the broadcast. Later on, she offered an explanation for the cat bite, explaining that Maya is actually a male cat and that he interprets her singing as a "female being in heat." She then promised Maya that she will never sing again.

While many were quick to call this incident "revenge" for Alinity throwing her cat last year, it should be noted that these are two different cats. The cat Alinity threw behind her head in July was Milo, whereas this one is Maya. Even so, it hasn't stopped the Internet from running with the joke that Alinity's cat bit her during the Twitch stream as an act of vengeance as opposed to a reaction to her singing.

With Alinity actually being the victim in this latest clip, it's unlikely to stir up any controversy like the cat throwing incident. However, Alinity will likely remain a controversial figure on Twitch, as other popular creators sometimes continue to bring up the cat-throwing situation and accuse of Twitch of playing favorites because it never banned her over the situation.

Twitch's inconsistent rule enforcement has long been a criticism of the streaming site. Most recently, popular streamer xQc's ban was widely criticized online as being unfair compared to other situations that didn't result in a ban, like the Alinity cat-throwing incident. Twitch hasn't really made any moves to be more consistent with its bans, and it's unclear if it will attempt to do so in the future.
