In Alan Wake 2's story Return, the third chapter sends players to Coffee World amusement park in Waterly as the game's second protagonist, Saga Anderson. Upon arriving at the park, players will find the staff is nowhere to be found, and the whole location is now overrun by cultists. With no employees to unlock the gift shop, Saga will have to find her own way into the shop in order to progress through the third chapter of her story in Alan Wake 2.
Gift Shop Clues
Near the entrance to the gift shop, players will find maintenance logs and procedures that will provide clues that can be placed on the Case Board. The clues will help Saga deduce an alternate way into the shop since no employees are around to provide a key.
The maintenance procedures remind Saga that a screwdriver is a key to any lock if you try hard enough, and the maintenance logs inform players that a screwdriver was last used for maintenance on the Percolator, a spinning cups ride located on the East side of the park. Players will want to head deeper into the park, following signs to the Percolator.
Players should not run into any cultists while traveling to the Percolator - be sure to search any boxes available on the way to the Percolator and in the Fair Trade Fun Zone.
Finding the Screwdriver in Alan Wake 2
As players approach the entrance to the Percolator ride, the gate will mysteriously open on its own, inviting players to come aboard. Once on the ride, the gate will lock shut, and the ride will spring to life. Two cultists will appear, one in the crow's nest above the ride and one on the main platform with Saga.
Players can immediately drop the cultist in the crow's nest on Normal difficulty with a quick headshot from the crossbow. The crossbow upgrade that allows two arrows to be fired before reloading can be incredibly helpful for this step. Once the axe-throwing cultist is down, turn and defeat the other cultist using the charged flashlight attack to reveal the Source point and blast away with any weapon.
This fight can be tricky if not executed properly, but players who can quickly find their targets as they enter the fight will have the advantage and can come out completely unscratched. Once the fight is over, players will find the screwdriver on a power box to the left.
Players will now want to head back towards the gift shop - be wary of cultists that have now flooded the amusement park. Once back at the gift shop, approach the door with the lock, interact with the lock, and use the screwdriver to pry the door open. Players are now one step closer to acquiring the trailer key.
