Chloe Bennet, who played Daisy Johnson, a.k.a. Quake, in Marvel's Agents of SHIELD, spoke about her future in the MCU. Bennet played Daisy Johnson for 7 seasons on Agents of SHIELD, which ended in 2020. Since then there has been much speculation on whether she will return in any future MCU projects.

The current line of MCU projects is full of multiversal stories, which has opened the door for any character to appear at any time. One of those projects, Secret Invasion, has been at the forefront of rumors about characters who may play a part or even have a small cameo. Some believe that Agents of SHIELD's Bennet may return to play Quake or possibly a different version of the same character from an alternate universe. She may return in Secret Invasion or another MCU project altogether.

Screen Rant interviewed Bennet about her role in the 3rd season of FXX's Dave, in which Bennet plays Robyn, a photographer from Wisconsin and Dave's girlfriend. During that interview, Bennet was asked if she would be open to returning to the role of Daisy Johnson if Marvel asked her. "Of course. Of course, I would be open to it. Listen, there's a lot of stuff around that. I so deeply love S.H.I.E.L.D.'s fans because it's this tenacity that got the show on air to begin with," Bennet said.

Although she would love to play the role again, both for herself and the fans, Bennet made it clear that she has not been requested to return to Marvel in any way since Agents of SHIELD finished in 2020. However, it sounds like if Kevin Feige ever decides to give her that call about returning, she would be happy to answer it. "I have not once been approached or asked or involved in anything after I wrapped S.H.I.E.L.D. And I am not involved in anything that is coming out," Bennet said. "I've not been asked, but I would be more than excited to put on the suit again. And, of course, of course, Daisy is a big part of who I am. So I would love to, but I have not been communicated [with] about it."

Of course, many fans will not be satisfied with this answer from Bennet. Marvel Studios has a history of making sure their actors stay silent about their roles and the movies that they are in. This was notable with the blockbuster film Spider-Man No Way Home, which saw Andrew Garfield and Toby Maguire returning to play their respective Peter Parkers. Both actors denied their involvement in the film for months until it was finally released. Garfield and Maguire still denied the rumors even when there were set photos leaked.

Bennet's statement was clear that she is not involved in any current or future MCU projects, but it will never be enough to convince Marvel fans. With Marvel Studios films, it is impossible to know for sure what they will bring until they are released. Because of that, there will continue to be rumors about Bennet returning as Quake in the MCU.
