Preview footage for THQ Nordic and Yuke's upcoming wrestling simulator based on the AEW, AEW Fight Forever, highlights the multitude of weapons available, including a rideable skateboard. It's been a long wait since the game was first announced back in December 2020, but now the game is only a few weeks away from launching. As such, fans have been getting a bunch of preview footage of AEW Fight Forever in the last few days up to its summer tent pole release.AEW Fight Forever recently opened its preorders for all platforms it will be launching on, which encompasses the big three console manufacturers and PC. Fans were also given details regarding all the pre-order bonuses that will be included for early buyers. This includes a hilarious advertisement that involved Matt Hardy and Broken Matt Hardy, where those who pre-order will get the Hardy brother as a playable wrestler. With the pre-orders open, gameplay footage has been hitting sites like YouTube and Twitter, with some of the gameplay featuring some unique weapons like a rideable skateboard.RELATED: This is What AEW Fight Forever Looks Like on SwitchWrestling-focused Twitter account Dark Puroresu Flowinson showed off this new feature in a brief clip uploaded to the website, where it revealed a match between Kris Statlander and Darby Allin. In this clip, they demonstrate that they can have their wrestler ride a skateboard throughout the ring, from the top of the entrance map before riding it all the way down to the ring. The wrestler will also stay on this skateboard until they disengage, leading to a sight where they can jump in or out of the ring effortlessly while riding the board, using the board as a method of traversal. Players can also leap from the board into a frog splash maneuver, which makes for a rather silly but incredible sight that would be difficult to pull off in real life.

Another set of gameplay footage from YouTuber Pulse features a Fatal Four Way match between Jon Moxley, Hikaru Shida, Bryan Danielson, and Adam Cole, which is an automatic No Disqualification match. This leads to the four experimenting with the weapons found in AEW Fight Forever, which includes Chris Jericho's branded "A little bit of the Bubbly" sparkling wine, a baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire, and even an explosive container that can be thrown like a bomb. The extended gameplay video also features Moxley using the skateboard as well.

Many fans were hyped looking at the gameplay footage, with some noting that it was bringing back fond memories of the early WWE video games, like WWF No Mercy and the Smackdown vs. RAW series of games. Other fans noted that Kenny Omega's statement about the game having a balance between competitive or chaotic multiplayer matches was also true, which increased their excitement as well.

AEW Fight Forever launches June 29 for Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
