AEW Fight Forever has taken the old-school approach of letting players discover its hidden moves, storylines, and characters for themselves. While this is a terrific throwback to wrestling games of old, in the days of Accelerator Packs unlocking everything at once in WWE 2K23, some players may lack the patience it takes to learn how to unlock the secret wrestlers Owen Hart, Brodie Lee, and Paul Wight in AEW Fight Forever.
It's designed to keep fans playing and give replay value, as it effectively means players must play the wrestling game a lot. However, this guide will outline the best ways to unlock all three characters as efficiently as possible.
How To Unlock Brodie Lee In AEW Fight Forever
The late Brodie Lee - AKA Luke Harper in the WWE - passed away in 2020. He was taken too soon, but the leader of the Dark Order left a big enough mark in wrestling to be included as a legend in AEW Fight Forever.
He's an unlockable character that must be defeated in the Road to Elite by triggering the Block 2B Join the Dark Order faction event in the second chapter. The branched stories are randomized, and players have a one-in-three chance of unlocking the correct event.
However, players will have a better chance of finding him with Britt Baker, Cody Rhodes, or Sammy Guevara. It doesn't matter if players win the first Casino Battle Royale match, but all contests should be won afterward. If the event doesn't trigger, players must restart the career mode or continue with one of the other two faction storylines featuring Chris Jericho's Inner Circle or the Death Triangle instead.
Whether the player agrees to join the Dark Order or not, all choices will lead to a match for the TNT title against Brodie Lee in the fourth week at the PPV called Full Gear. The battle isn't too challenging if players ensure their energy and mood stats are excellent and high by having meals and going sightseeing. Once players have defeated him, Brodie Lee can be purchased from the in-game shop for 30,000.
How To Unlock Paul Wight In AEW Fight Forever
Paul Wight is better known as the Big Show from the WWE or Captain Insano from Adam Sandler's movie The Waterboy. He joined AEW as a backstage talent, occasional performer, and commentator. Wight is included as an unlockable wrestler in AEW Fight Forever, but players must find his branch of the story in chapter 4 called Block 4C Who's Ribbing Me?
The story arc is randomized with another one-in-three chance of appearing, but players have successfully triggered it with Malakai Black, MJF, and Scorpio Sky. However, for a better chance of getting the event, the player's wrestler must be on a losing streak before Chapter 4.
The easiest way to lose most or every match is to quit from the pause menu after it's started. However, players should still invest time in hospital visits, sightseeing, weight training, and dining to stand a chance against Paul Wight. When the Who's Ribbing Me storyline has begun, focus on winning matches and boosting the wrestler's stats with training. All choices and events from this point lead to a contest with Paul Wight.
Unfortunately, Paul Wight must be defeated in less than 180 seconds/three minutes to obtain him as a playable character. Wight has the Unyielding Poise stat, which makes him near invulnerable to strikes and slams early in a match.
Get him to fight at ringside and whip him into the barriers and use fastgrapple by pressing A on Xbox, X on PlayStation, B on Switch, or K on a Keyboard, and one of the grapple-strike attacks with X or Y on Xbox, Square or Triangle on PS, Y or X on Switch, or J and I on a keyboard.
This should keep Wight down long enough to slide back into the ring before the count out. Paul Wight costs 30,000 in the AEW shop.
How To Unlock Owen Hart In AEW Fight Forever
The late Owen Hart is featured as a legend in AEW Fight Forever. This is Hart's first appearance in a wrestling game since WWF Attitude in 1999 after his tragic death in a WWE ring. Thanks to his combination of technical wrestling and high-flying abilities, Hart's one of the best wrestlers in the game. Thankfully, unlocking Owen Hart doesn't require the completion of randomized events in the Road to Elite.
Players must win 100 exhibition matches against the computer to unlock Owen Hart. After this, Owen Hart can be purchased for 50,000 in the shop.
It's hard to track how many wins a player has, but the easiest way is to go to the Challenges menu. Specific challenges require the player to Defeat 50 COM Opponents in Singles Matches with Kenny Omega, Brian Cage, Abadon, and more.
The most efficient route to getting the 100 victories is to defeat the challenges with favorite wrestlers and keep an eye on the numbers in the challenges menu.
