AEW Fight Forever is a more accessible game to pick up than its WWE 2K rivals. Comparatively speaking, it compares to Sega's Virtua Tennis series in the way it falls somewhere between a sim and an arcade game. There's a surprising amount of depth to master with its smoother wrestling mechanics, create a wrestler, and create arena features. While AEW Fight Forever doesn't have the vast number of tools available for players to customize arenas, there is still enough content to get creative.
