AEW Fight Forever has added a hilarious Danhausen easter egg ahead of the game's new "HOOKHausen: Very Handsome, Very Evil" DLC release. Like his real-world counterpart, Danhausen will be able to taunt opponents in the ring and "curse" anyone who slights him in AEW Fight Forever.

AEW Fight Forever is All Elite Wrestling's first console and PC game following the wrestling company's founding in 2019. The wrestling game was developed by former WWE 2K studio Yuke's as a throwback to classic Nintendo 64 wrestling games such as WWF No Mercy and WWF WrestleMania 2000. However, AEW Fight Forever brings a suite of original features and content, including online multiplayer and the Road to Elite mode. In addition, AEW Fight Forever receives post-launch updates and new DLC to bring more fan-favorite wrestlers and new content into the game. Thus far, AEW Fight Forever has added FTR, The Bunny, and Keith Lee as playable DLC characters.

AEW fan Bo-Moxley420 stumbled into a funny new Danhausen easter egg that was added into AEW Fight Forever in a free update. While playing as Christian Cage in a ladder match against Matt Hardy, Bo-Moxley420 pulled Danhausen out from underneath the ring instead of a weapon. Danhausen used his signature taunt to curse the player and hinder the growth of momentum. This would give the opponent a slight advantage since the player will be unable to regain momentum in AEW Fight Forever for a short duration. Once the curse effect has lifted, the player may regain momentum by striking and grappling their opponent.

AEW Fight Forever Danhausen Easter Egg

Wrestling fans are pleased with the new Danhausen easter egg in the Reddit community, and some believe it's an ingenious way of building hype for the release of the AEW Fight Forever's new DLC. Other fans believe Danhausen should have more curse effects in the game, including the ability to invert controls or disable counters. The AEW Fight Forever community also believes that easter eggs and updates could encourage more players to return to the game.

Danhausen will be available as a playable wrestler in AEW Fight Forever alongside HOOK in the HOOKHausen DLC pack releasing on September 28 for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms. The DLC will come to the Nintendo Switch version of AEW Fight Forever at a later date. Gamers may purchase the DLC separately or immediately download it on launch day after purchasing the AEW Fight Forever Season Pass. The Danhausen easter egg may be accessed without purchasing the DLC, however.

AEW Fight Forever is available now for Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
