AEW Fight Forever is an accessible wrestling game designed to let players execute their favorite wrestler's signature and their finisher moves as effortlessly as possible. It's easy to pick and play but hides a lot of hidden mechanics that make it a smooth and fast in-ring combat game. Hitting opponents with moves and strikes is a matter of quick and long presses combined with the direction buttons.
Thankfully, beating an opponent with signature and finishing moves in AEW Fight Forever is just as user-friendly with a flick of the R-stick when the player's wrestler has gained enough momentum. Most of the finishers in AEW Fight Forever can be utilized in the middle of the ring, as the player's wrestler will get themselves into position, but the best ones depend on their rating in the game.
7 Pac - Black Arrow
The grappler from Newcastle Upon Tyne is one of the best high-flying superstars in AEW Fight Forever. Pac's death-defying acrobatics are backed up by his intensity and realism in the ring. He has dangerous signature moves and two five-star finishing moves, the Brutalizer, and the Black Arrow. The Brutalizer is a submission that will make opponents tap out, but the Black Arrow is a diving finisher.
Performing The Black Arrow
- Wear the opponent down and hit them with the Sit-Out Powerbomb signature.
- Instead of going for the pin, run to the nearest turnbuckle and press the R-stick to trigger the Special status in Pac's momentum bar.
- Press the R-stick again to dive off the top rope and hit the Black Arrow.
6 Jon Moxley - Paradigm Shift
Jon Moxley is one of the most violent wrestlers in AEW. He's known for his bloody hardcore matches that implement no rules, like the Lights Out Match and the Exploding Barbed Wire Death Match. He has two five-star finishers, the Paradigm Shift and the Bulldog Choke. Moxley also has a four-star signature that can be combined with either move for a victory in the ring.
Performing The Paradigm Shift
- Wear the opponent down until Moxley gets his momentum bar flashing up the signature.
- Use Moxely's signature move, the Gotch Style Piledriver, to significantly damage the opponent's head.
- With the opponent down, flick the R-Stick to trigger Moxley's special status. Pick the opponent up with RB on Xbox, R1, or R on the Switch to pick the opponent up.
- With the opponent groggy, move the R-Stick to hit the Paradigm Shift.
5 CM Punk - Go To Sleep
CM Punk uses a variety of moves that fans associate with his wrestling style. His signature, the Flying Elbow - a homage to the Macho Man Randy Savage - and his finisher, the Go To Sleep, AKA the GTS, have seen Punk put away several opponents in ROH, AEW, and the WWE.
Performing The Go To Sleep
- Punk utilizes a lot of moves that damage the head area. Use his strong grapples to execute the DDT and the Sit-Out Piledriver to harm the opponent's head.
- When Punk has his momentum in the signature status, climb the turnbuckle to hit the Flying Elbow.
- Move the R-stick up or down to trigger special status.
- With the opponent groggy, move the R-stick up or down to execute the GTS.
4 Bryan Danielson - Cattle Mutilation
Bryan Danielson is one of the best performers in the world and a submission specialist that wears his opponents down. He has three signatures, the Kick Combo, Diving Headbutt, and the Triangle Choke. Moreover, Danielson has three five-star finishers, all of which can end a match in one move. However, the Cattle Mutilation submission - the same as the Crossface - that damages the body and the arms is one of the best submission moves in AEW Fight Forever.
Performing The Cattle Mutilation
- Bring Danielson's momentum bar into the signature status. Then execute the Kick Combo by pressing the R-stick up or down. With the opponent down, run to the top rope and flick the R-stick again to hit the Diving Headbutt. The opponent's body health should be in the red.
- Get Danielson into the Special status.
- Flip a downed opponent onto their front with the RT/R2/RZ button.
- Now, flick the R-stick to execute the Cattle Mutilation and get the submission victory.
3 Nyla Rose - Beast Bomb
Nyla Rose is the most powerful female wrestler in AEW Fight Forever. She has a variety of power moves that focus on damaging her opponent's body and getting into the red zone. This primes the opponents for her five-star finisher, the Beast Bomb. Rose only has one signature and finisher, but it's enough to put away all her opponents.
Performing The Beast Bomb
- Damage the opponent until Nyla has her momentum bar in the Signature status.
- Move the R-stick to hit the Draping Diving Knee Drop.
- Move the R-stick again to activate Rose's special status and again to use Beast Bomb and pin combination by holding the L1/LB/L button.
2 Paul Wight - Middle Rope Chokeslam
Paul Wight, also known as The Big Show from WWE and The Giant in WCW, is an unlockable wrestler in AEW Fight Forever. He's the largest and strongest wrestler in the game and has three five-star finishers and two four-star signature moves. Wight's best finisher is the Middle Rope Chokeslam, where he gets extra height and power with the move.
Performing The Middle Rope Chokeslam
- Wight's strong grapples and attacks will get his opponent's body into the red. Utilize his signature Spear to break down their health.
- Move the R-stick up or down to activate the special status.
- Whip the opponent into the corner by pressing RT/R2/RZ and aiming the directional button into the corner.
- With the opponent leaning on the corner, flick the R-stick up to execute the Middle Rope Chokeslam.
1 Kenny Omega - Avalanche One Winged Angel
Kenny Omega is arguably the best character in AEW Fight Forever and one of the company's top stars. He combines high-flying acrobatics and technical wrestling to bring his opponents down before finishing them off with his multiple signature and finisher moves. Omega has five finishers and four signatures. His Avalanche One Winged Angel is the most devastating move and one of the most satisfying to execute.
Performing The Avalanch One Winged Angel
- All four of Kenny Omega's signature moves will damage the head.
- Hit one of Kenny's signature moves.
- Whip the opponent into the corner by pressing RT/R2/RZ and aiming the directional button into the corner.
- Flick the R-stick to activate the special status.
- With the opponent stunned in the corner, move the R-stick again to trigger the Avalanche One Winged Angel.
