Mighty Kanbei! is the 13th mission in Advance Wars 1: Re-Boot Camp, and it begins with players at a significant unit disadvantage. To note, the Mighty Kanbei! mission was played with Sami acting as CO for the purposes of this walkthrough. That said, the other Advance Wars 1: Re-Boot Camp COs are capable of completing this mission with an S-rank, though movements may need to be adjusted slightly. It is also worth mentioning that this walkthrough is for the Classic difficulty setting, which features more opposing Medium Tanks than Casual.
Advance Wars 1 Re-Boot Camp Walkthrough: Mission 13 Mighty Kanbei!
General Strategy
This Mighty Kanbei! walkthrough outlines a strategy in which Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp players will use Infantry and a Medium Tank to create a blockade at the east bridge. This blockade is maintained by continually refreshing the Infantry with healthy units and using the Rocket to thwart indirect assaults. Simultaneously, players will create a temporary blockade at the south bridge, which will allow them to dispatch vehicles with indirect attacks and ultimately push an Infantry to the yellow HQ.
Day 1
- Medium Tank move back out of Medium Tank range.
- Rocket attack Rocket.
- Rocket attack Artillery.
- Build Tank and two Infantry.
Day 2
- Damaged Infantry move back and replace with Infantry.
- Rocket attack Rocket.
- Medium Tank attack Tank.
- Rocket attack Medium Tank.
- Mech move down and Tank move into city to repair.

- Infantry move from base and build Artillery and two Infantry.
Day 3
- Rocket attack Artillery.
- Damaged Infantry move back and replace with Infantry.
