Activision is a big video game publisher known for its acquisition of various developers to make games. No doubt many gamers are familiar with the first-person shooter Call of Duty franchise and its latest installment Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, made by Treyarch. Recent news reveals that Activision will be expanding one another of its developers very soon.

Recently, Activision has started to expand the personnel recruitment at developer Beenox, so that it can help support making more Call of Duty titles. According to a report by Benzinga, the game studio has launched an expansion plan to recruit over 100 new developers. As the studio becomes more involved in the Call of Duty franchise, Beenox has to meet growing mandates for the role.

Beenox is a video game studio in Quebec City that made games starring Marvel's famous web-slinger, Spider-Man. Some of its more popular games include Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions and its follow-up Spider-Man: Edge of Time. The studios' goal is to recruit over 100 new employees, and it is renovating new office space in Quebec City to do so. Beenox's Co-Studio Head Thomas Wilson said the studio is working to acquire more floors in the Charest Boulevard building with offices that work "in accordance with industry best practices."

Wilson said the goal is to have a workspace that cultivates a comfortable and collaborative environment where employees "feel as good, if not better, than they do at home." Beenox will be recruiting developers for several positions, such as programming, game and interface design, and artistic creation. The studio will be collaborating with both Quebec International and Quebec EPIX to find the best talent to join Beenox.

The recruitment is already underway, and Beenox is taking the necessary steps to recruit employees from abroad - even launching recruitment campaigns in French-speaking countries. Recently, the studio has worked with both Treyarch and Raven Software on the development of Black Ops Cold War's PC version. Throughout the process, Beenox has cultivated a reputation to deliver "superior-quality AAA video games" on par with the other developers.

The studio is working with Infinity Ward, Treyarch, and Raven Software on continued support of Call of Duty: Warzone content for future seasons. For example, the latest Season 1 update for Black Ops Cold War provided additions to existing game modes including split-screen for Zombies mode, bug fixes, weapon nerfs and buffs, and more.

Activision's expansion of Beenox is a good development for the game studios, and players can look forward to more Call of Duty content because of it.
