  • Ace Attorney Investigations Collection is getting a physical release.
  • However, it is only launching on Nintendo Switch, and the physical edition will only be available in North America.
  • The Investigations duology, featuring Prosecutor Miles Edgeworth, was previously rare and untranslated.

Capcom has confirmed that the upcoming Ace Attorney Investigations Collection game will be getting a physical release, but it will only be limited to the Nintendo Switch, and no other platforms in North America. The Ace Attorney Investigations Collection was first revealed during the June 2024 Nintendo Direct, much to the surprise of many fans. The Investigations duology is a spin-off of the mainline Ace Attorney franchise, where instead of a defense attorney like Phoenix Wright, the player is put in the shoes of his rival, Prosecutor Miles Edgeworth.

In these two games, Miles Edgeworth investigates a series of crimes that end up tying into a larger conspiracy, meeting familiar characters like Franziska Von Karma, Ema Skye, and Detective Gumshoe, while also encountering new friends and foes, like Kay Faraday, Inspector Shi-Long Lang, and Eustace Winner. For the longest time, the Investigations duology were some of the series' rarest games, with the second game only being playable through fan translations as it was never officially localized. However, following the success of the re-release collections like The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles and the Apollo Justice Trilogy, the Investigations duology got the same treatment. Much like the aforementioned games, the Investigations Collection is getting a physical release in North America, but only on Nintendo Switch.

This isn't likely to be too surprising, as the Apollo Justice Trilogy and Great Ace Attorney Chronicles also had their physical releases limited to the Nintendo Switch when the game launched in North America.
