The Prologue to Honor Bound

The beginning section of this mission is relatively straightforward. Players must walk through a celebration and the path can generally be described as meandering toward the far stage. There are numerous characters the game will introduce along the way and opportunities to join in the festivities.

Once the celebration turns to warfare, there is really only one thing left to do: head towards the open door. This will trigger the lengthy cutscene and eventually ask Assassin's Creed Valhalla players which Eivor they would like to be. This officially starts the Honor Bound mission and gives players control of an adult Eivor.

After a quick clash with Kjotve the Cruel's men in a cutscene, players are left to navigate a small island and locate their surviving crew. It is important to interact with the berry bushes in the camp right by where players start and recover some health and earn their first ration, the healing items in Assassin's Creed Valhalla. The first step for this mission is to locate the viewpoint about halfway across the island. The viewpoint is directly to the north and will show where players need to go next.

From this viewpoint, players need to work their way north and west towards Avaldsnes, the only large settlement on this part of Norway in Assassin's Creed Valhalla. Along the way there are a few buildings and soldiers that players can practice their skills on. Importantly, players can run across Dag, a member of their crew, in a fight. He will give players their shield and then head off to secure the ship.

Once on the outskirts of Avaldsnes, players need to locate the longhouse, climb up its roof, and enter it. This is the location of the crew and once players get close enough to the enemies inside, they will trigger a cutscene and the first boss fight of the game. The game will provide tips on how best to handle this enemy and, fortunately, this is quite far from any of the challenging fights in the Assassin's Creed series. Once he has been defeated players can free their captured crew.

With the crew at their side, players can make their way through Avaldsnes and down to the beach where Dag and the ship are waiting. Fighting these enemies is mainly just for practice and players can quickly board their ship and head out to sea. Once on board, players need to travel south and east to Fornburg. There is an opportunity along the way to experience Assassin's Creed Valhalla's first raid (one of Kjotve the Cruel's outposts) but this is not mandatory. Once in harbor, players just need to speak with Randvi to complete the quest.
