How to Get a Gun in Abiotic Factor
In Abiotic Factor, you can make many different tools and weapons through the crafting system, including some basic guns. However, you won't be able to create all weapons through this method, as some items, such as many of the more advanced and powerful firearms in the game, can only be acquired from certain locations that you can explore.
To gain access to many guns in Abiotic Factor, you will need to craft an item known as the Keypad Hacker. Creating this item will enable you to bypass security checkpoints and progress through more doors, reaching new equipment - including guns. To craft the Keypad Hacker, you will need to collect a stash of resources, and then follow the crafting methods below:
- Craft a Glowstick and three Computation Brick.
- Use these newly crafted items to create the following: one LCD Screen, one Infrared Emitter, and one Controller.
- Combine the crafted Controller, Infrared Emitter, and LCD Screen into a Keypad Hacker.
You can then use the Keypad Hacker item to bypass the locked door at Security, which enables you to explore more areas, such as the Firing Range. Here you will be able to find a Security Pistol and some ammo, giving you access to one of the more powerful weapons in the game. This will come in handy when it comes to defeating enemies during your exploration, or defending your base from any raids.
Ammo is quite a limited resource in Abiotic Factor , so you'll need to use what you have sparingly. More ammo and weapons can be gained most commonly by defeating members of the Order Infantry , or scavenging in locations such as the Manufacturing Sector .
However, the Security Pistol can not be repaired, and once it breaks, it will be gone for good. This means that even though the temptation to use it at any excuse may be there, you should be careful about your use of this weapon, and try to preserve its life span for as much of your playthrough as possible.
