As Tree Gelbman (Jessica Rothe) tries to solve her own murder, which keeps happening again and again, she meets Carter Davis (Israel Broussard). Tree and Carter have a great horror movie love story and Carter wants to help save Tree's life.
Carter's quote fits into the funny, light-hearted vibe of the entire movie. While he means well, he's a bit naive and innocent, as of course Tree has no idea who the Babyface killer is. She's not able to give him this list, no matter how good his intentions are.
Erica Is Creeped Out In Ma (2019)

The main characters are all sad, lonely and isolated for various reasons, but Sue Ann is hiding a terrible secret from when she was younger.
When Erica asks why Sue Ann is allowing teenagers to hang out at her house, she drives home the theme of the movie: that Sue Ann feels lost and different from other people because of the trauma that she experienced.
Cecilia Kass Is Terrified Of Adrian In The Invisible Man (2020)
